UPC employees help others
UPC places great value on the individual development of its some 2,500 employees. Besides attractive salaries and a modern benefits package, our employees also have the opportunity to support various charitable projects, if they are interested.
Once a year, sporty employees have the opportunity to take part in the “Big Ride for Africa”. This charity event is organised by the Lessons for Life Foundation, the aid organisation run by Liberty Global. By taking part, the cyclists and runners raise money for children in Africa. The Lessons for Life Foundation carries out aid work primarily in sub-Saharan regions.
Bike to Work
In May and June each year, employees from UPC take part in “Bike to Work”. “Bike to Work” is a Switzerland-wide campaign to promote health within companies. Some 1,800 companies promote the team spirit and fitness of their employees through “Bike to Work” and commit to a sustainable mode of transport.
In Heroes Award
Each year, Liberty Global, UPC’s parent company, presents the «in Heroes Award» for social projects. Around the world, employees who are heavily involved with a social project can apply for the award and win a donation for their charitable organisation.
