More transparency regarding cable connection costs

In the past, the costs for the cable connection were billed separately. But things have changed. Since 28.09.2016, the connection to the powerful fibre optic network has already been included in the price. And so no additional fees are incurred for the connection of your digital products: Internet, TV and telephone. For you, this means more transparency, a complete overview and one bill that you can trust.

 
 

Reaping the benefits is easy

 Are you a new customer? If you haven't yet paid for cable connection you will benefit automatically from the simplified billing, as soon as you activate your subscription.

Additional property expenses

This applies if your cable connection is part of the additional property expenses. What you need to do:

Order your new offer

Cancel the cable costs

Together with the order confirmation you will receive a letter from us. Simply complete this and send it to your landlord. Your costs will then be cancelled from your additional property expenses.

Simplified billing

A separate bill for cable connection is no longer required and you can continue enjoying entertainment without interruption.Checkout, book your installation and enjoy a new world of entertainment

 
 

Direct billing from UPC

If UPC currently bills you directly for cable connection, you need to:

Order your new offer

Receive only one bill

As soon as your new offer is active, only one bill will be sent and you'll no longer receive a separate bill for cable connection. 

No interruptions

You don't need to do anything further, so sit back, relax and continue to enjoy your seamless connection.

 
 

Local cable operator

If your cable connection is billed by a local cable operator you should: 

Order your new offer

The local network operator will continue to bill you for cable connection

Receive a credit note from us in the future

To make sure that you don't pay twice, you will receive a credit note from UPC for the value of CHF 30 each month. This will be visible on your bill for Internet, TV and Phone services. It will be adjusted automatically, so there's no need to worry and you can continue to enjoy your entertainment as normal.

 
 

Frequently asked questions

Can my landlord refuse to adjust the additional property expenses?

  • No. Adjusting the additional property expenses is a standard procedure which does not entail any financial loss for the landlord. It must be accepted and carried out. You can request this adjustment from your landlord at any time in writing. You will receive a letter template from us for this purpose, once you have ordered your new digital product.
 
 

Attaching a file to a message

If you already purchase digital products such as Internet, digital TV or fixed network from UPC or one of our partners, you automatically also use an active cable connection for which a fee is charged.

 
 

I am not yet a UPC customer. What do I need to be aware of?

As a new customer, you will receive a bill for your subscribed products including the cable connection at the start. You do not need to make any adjustments.
