IN THE REGION LA NEUVEVILLE

ON 27TH OF AUGUST 2019

In the night of the 27th August we will be optimising the UPC fibre optic cable network in the region of La Neuveville. This ensures that you will continue to benefit fully from all UPC services in the future.

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN FOR ME?

You may need to make changes to your receiver after the switchover.

Please perform channel scan after 12 pm on 27th of August.

  • Start a digital station search (QUICK SEARCH). This is generally found using the MENU button on your remote control. If have any questions, please consult the user guide for your TV set.
  • Pleas check in your TV manual which of the parameters listed below you need to use and enter them as follows:

Network ID: 43061

Modulation: QAM64
Symbol rate: 6900

Frequency MHz: 306
Frequency kHz: 306000

Done! The settings are now up to date and an up-to-date channel offering is
available. Check your list of favourites and reprogramme it if necessary. We

You use a UPC TV box? In that case, you do not have to do anything else.
Your box makes all changes automatically.

Horizon HD Recorder

Please re-install your box after 12 pm on 27th of August, following the instructions below.

Reset box to factory settings:
  • Press MENU on the remote control
  • Select the OPTIONS menu item and confirm with OK.
  • Select the PEFERENCES menu item and confirm with OK.
  • Select the ADVANCED SETTINGS menu item and confirm with OK.
  • Select HORIZON BOX and confirm with OK.
  • Select FACOTORY SETTINGS and confirm with OK.
  • Enter your PIN; this is set to 0000 as standard, confirm with OK.
  • Now you can choose whether you want to keep existing recordings – confirm with OK.
  • Now you can choose whether you want to keep existing recordings – confirm with OK.
  • You can now start to restore the factory settings with YES – OK.
  • Your Horizon HD Recorder has now been reset to the factory settings.

 

Reinstalling your box:
  • Follow the instructions on the TV screen.
  • Check your list of favourites and scheduled recordings and reprogramme if necessary.
  • Done! The settings are now up to date and an up-to-date channel offering is available. We wish you a lot of fun!

Mediabox Receiver/Recorder:

Please re-install your box after 12 pm on 27th of August, following the instructions below.

Reset box to factory settings:
  • Press MENU on the remote control for your Mediabox.
  • Select the SETTINGS menu item and confirm with OK.
  • Select the FACTORY SETTINGS menu item and confirm with OK.
  • Enter your PIN. This is set to 1234 as standard.
  • Confirm your entry with OK.
 
Reinstalling your TV box:
  • Select Switzerland in the country selection, confirm with OK.
  • Enter your new activation code 601 and confirm with OK.
  • Start the channel search by clicking OK.
  • Select OK again to complete the factory reset.
  • Check your list of favourites and scheduled recordings and reprogramme if necessary.
  • Done! The settings are now up to date and an up-to-date channel offering is available. We wish you a lot of fun!

CONVERTER

Please re-install your box after 12 pm on 27th of August, following the instructions below.

Reset box to factory settings:
  • To reset the converter, press MENU.
  • Select INSTALLATION and confirm with OK.
  • Select FACTORY SETTINGS and confirm with OK.
  • Select YES to save and confirm with OK.
 
Reinstalling your box:
  • Follow the instructions on the TV screen.
  • Enter the new network ID and frequency:

Network ID: 43061
Frequency MHz: 306

Done! The settings are now up to date and an up-to-date channel offering is available. We wish you a lot of fun!

Are Internet and/or telephony affected by the switchover?

No. Should you experience problems, we recommend that you restart your cable modem.

For landlords: Will tenants be informed directly by UPC?

Yes, we also inform all affected tenants a few days before the switchover.
