HOW CAN I BLOCK OUTGOING CALLS?

BLOCK CALLS THAT COST EXTRA (SUCH AS TO 0900 NUMBERS)

It’s easy to block calls to numbers that cost extra with the help of call barring programmes on your telephone.

Two things you need to note:

  • Only one barring programme can be activated at a time.
  • The call barring is protected by a PIN code, which means that only you or someone that knows the PIN code can activate or deactivate the block.

ACTIVATE CALL BARRING:

First you need to change the default PIN code (0000). The new PIN code must contain four digits and it may not be four identical numbers.

To change the PIN code:

  1. Lift the handset
  2. Enter *99*
  3. Enter the old PIN and press *
  4. Enter your new PIN and press *
  5. Enter your new PIN again and press #

Now you can activate a call barring programme. Each call barring programme has a certain number which you need to enter after your PIN. Next you will find the instructions and an overview of the call barring programmes.
