USING THE HORIZON REMOTE CONTROL

Your Horizon remote control has a front and back side that allow you to perform various actions such as fast forward/rewind etc. To use your Horizon Box with the remote control, you need to pair them together. You can also pair the remote control with your TV set. On this page you will find out how it works.

PAIRING WITH THE HORIZON TV BOX

This is how you pair your Horizon remote control with your Horizon Box:

SWITCH ON YOUR HORIZON BOX.

POSITION THE REMOTE CONTROL.

The side with the keyboard must face upwards.

PRESS THE PAIRING BUTTON.

Press the pairing button for about 10 seconds while pointing the remote control at the Horizon Box.

PAIRING COMPLETE.

A message will appear on your TV screen indicating that pairing has been successful. In addition, the TV Standby button on the front of your remote control will light up red.

DID SOMETHING GO WRONG?

In this case, simply remove the batteries from the remote control, reinsert them and repeat the 4 steps above.

PAIRING WITH YOUR TV DEVICE

You have the option of connecting your Horizon remote control not only to the Horizon Box, but also to your TV set. So you can use just one remote control to use all basic functions, such as switching on and off or adjusting the volume.

Important:

  • Have the brand code of your TV set ready.
  • Carry out the following steps in quick succession.
  • If you have a Samsung TV, pairing is automatic and you do not need to follow the steps below.

TURN OFF THE HORIZON BOX AND TURN ON THE TV.

HOLD DOWN THE FOLLOWING BUTTONS SIMULTANEOUSLY:

  • Minimize volume
  • TV Source

Press and hold both buttons until the TV standby button on your remote control lights up red three times.

ENTER THE BRAND CODE OF YOUR TV.

You should enter the code on your remote control within 10 seconds.

HOLD DOWN THE "TV STANDBY BUTTON".

While doing so, point the remote control at your TV and keep the button pressed until the TV switches off. Now carry out step 5 immediately.

If your TV does not switch off, repeat steps 1 to 4.

HOLD DOWN THE FOLLOWING BUTTONS SIMULTANEOUSLY:

  • Minimize volume
  • TV Source 

Press and hold both buttons until the TV stand-by button on your remote control lights up red three times. This is how you save the brand code in your TV. 

Your Horizon remote is now paired to your TV.

If you have accidentally saved the wrong TV brand code or something else has not worked, please repeat the steps above.

Alternatively, you can reset your remote to the factory settings. However, this will also reset all your Horizon User Box settings. If you still want to do this:

1. Reset the settings to factory defaults by successively pressing and holding down the green Fn button, the back space button and the 0 button simultaneously for about 10 seconds. When the Lock button flashes green, the remote control and the Horizon User Box are reset to factory settings.

2. Pair your remote control with the Horizon Box again, as described above on this page.

3. Pair your remote control with your TV set again, as explained above.
