WHAT WILL HAPPEN ON 15 JUNE 2021?

Starting on 15.06., Sunrise UPC is migrating all UPC Mobile customers to the Sunrise mobile network. The switch will take place in stages over the course of several weeks. Nothing will change about your contract. You can continue to use your mobile phone as usual, at the same price and conditions. You will simply start to benefit from the advantages of the Sunrise mobile network, which has been repeatedly rated “OUTSTANDING”.

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If the network selection on your mobile phone is set to “manual”, then please click here and follow our instructions. Check the list of available mobile networks in the settings (Apple: Settings > Mobile Data > Network selection / Samsung: Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Network operators).  Select “upc.ch” here and restart your mobile phone. When you have made the change, you will see “upc ch” on the display.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Will Wifi Calling and Voice over LTE continue to be offered?

Yes, both continue to be possible. More information about Wifi Calling and VoLTE.

Why does it say “Swisscom” on my display since the switch?

Make sure that the network selection is set to “automatic” in the network settings of your mobile phone. Then restart your phone and check whether “upc ch” is shown on the display.

Why do I see an “R” for roaming on my display, even though I am in Switzerland?

This can be the case if the network selection on your mobile phone is not set to automatic and your mobile phone has not been switched yet. So please check your settings and restart your mobile phone. Important: In such a case, no roaming charges will be billed. If, in rare cases, the “R” is still shown after you have restarted your mobile phone, please contact our customer service

Can I benefit from the Sunrise 5G network after the switch?

You can continue to use your usual services and will also benefit from outstanding network quality and coverage, whether with 2G, 3G or 4G. However, 5G is not included in your subscription. To be able to use 5G, you should switch to a Sunrise mobile subscription. Please call our customer service about this at 0800 007 045.

Could it happen that I will no longer have reception at my home / workplace after the switch?

We do not expect this to happen. But if this should be the case, we recommend that you activate Wifi Calling on your mobile phone. If this still does not improve reception, then customer service will be happy to help.

Do I have a special right of cancellation because of the switch?

No, the switch does not affect the prices and the available services for your existing mobile subscription. Therefore you do not have a special right of cancellation.
