Which service fees exist? How high are they? You will find here all the information regarding the costs about activation, payment transactions, reminders and contract termination.
|The activation fee covers all costs which are incurred in the case of a new order or when changing your receiver/subscription. Among other things, it covers the technical and administrative preparation/adaptation of the infrastructure, where applicable shipping of the device and the associated login credentials, as well as activation of the device when it is put into operation and activation of a new product on an existing device.||CHF 99.-|
Switching to a lower priced subscription
|A reduced activation fee is payable when switching to a lower priced product than previously. If this change involves device shipping or the activation of a new product on an existing device, the usual activation fee of CHF 99.- will be charged.||CHF 59.-|
|When activating a new SIM card.||CHF 49.-|
Replacement SIM card
|When replacing a SIM card (e.g. following loss).||CHF 39.-|
|If the subscription is transferred to another person, the future account holder will be charged a service transfer fee.||CHF 40.-|
Processing fee for the verification and activation of existing digital products at a new address.
Mobile only customers or customers who enter their move independently via My UPC are excluded.
Payment at the Post Office

Payment using red pay-in slips (Post Office)
If after a payment reminder was sent, a payment is still overdue, we will send a reminder.
Customers who receive the 3-in-1 cable connection.
Please note that in the case of cable connection bills, a payment reminder can result in additional (reminder) charges.
If UPC engages a third party with the collection of outstanding invoice amounts, minimum fees must be paid directly to the third party consulted. In addition, individual outlays and out-of-pocket expenses that are necessary for the collection must be reimbursed.

Reactivation of blocked connection

Premature contractual termination

Returned too late / non-returned / defective receivers
|Fee for loaned hardware (modem, router or TV box) not returned on time after the end of the contract

Why am I charged a fee if I use a red pay-in slip?
We are aware that under certain circumstances it may be necessary to use the red pay-in slip. However, it takes a considerable amount of time for us to process a pay-in slip completed by hand.
We have to perform capture and recording entirely manually, for example. For this reason, we take the liberty of charging customers a service fee of CHF 7.50 for the additional costs incurred.
